Welcome to Geospatial Resources at the University of North Dakota. Geospatial resources are used for visualization, measurement, and analysis of features or phenomena that occur on or near-surface of the earth. Geospatial resources are typically described as a combination of the following:

  • Technology
    • GIS (geographical information systems)
    • GPS (global positioning systems)
    • RS (remote sensing)
  • Analytical methods
  • Information (Datasets)

These are essential for research, teaching, community services and emergency response and recovery. At the University of North Dakota, there are many groups and departments using geospatial resources. This portal is an effort to consolidate information about many of these groups and resources to help inform and promote their services and resources.
